The Norton Cider Festival returns October 3–5 at Columbia Woods Park, and this year Top Tally will be part of the celebration with live trivia mini-games on Saturday and Sunday.
The festival has been a fixture in Norton since 1988, when the Lions Club organized the first event in the Loyal Oak neighborhood. What started as a small, block-style gathering — with streets closed off for parades, cider, and community fun — quickly grew in size and popularity. By 2008, it had outgrown its original setting, and the festival was moved to Columbia Woods Park, where it has remained ever since. The larger venue gave organizers room to expand, adding more vendors, entertainment, and attractions to accommodate the thousands of visitors who now attend each fall.
Today, the Norton Cider Festival is one of the city’s signature events. Visitors can expect live music at the gazebo, contests, rides, craft vendors, pancake breakfasts hosted by Boy Scout Troop 132, and of course plenty of cider. The event blends small-town tradition with family-friendly entertainment, making it a highlight of the season for residents and visitors alike.
Top Tally will add to the lineup with a slate of fast-paced mini-games designed to bring people together. Four games are scheduled for Saturday and three more on Sunday, giving festivalgoers multiple chances to jump in, compete, and share a laugh.
Whether it’s the parade, the music, or a round of trivia, the Norton Cider Festival offers something for everyone — and remains a tradition that celebrates both the harvest season and the spirit of Norton.
